Botswana Business Visa Checklist

VISA NOTES & FEES

1. Passport: Original Passport with validity of minimum six months with minimum two blank page for visa stamp. Please note : a) Duly Attested copy of Passport's First and Last Pages on A4 size paper by Gazetted Officer. b) Attach all your old passports (if any) c) If previously applied for visa please attach the copy of the Visa outcome. d) Handwritten passports will not be accepted.
2. Botswana Visa Application Form : One visa application form duly filled and signed by the applicant.
3. Photo Specification: Two recent passport size photographs with matt or semi matt finish, 60%-80% face coverage, white background and without border (Size: 35mm x 45mm) Please note: Photograph should not be more than 3 months old,scanned/stapled and should not be used in any of the previous visas.
4. Covering Letter : Covering-letter from the company’s letter head stating applicant’s name, designation, Passport Number,purpose and duration of visit.The letter should be addressed to: High Commission of The Republic of Botswana , New Delhi Please Note : a) If entering Botswana by Road specify the same on the Covering Letter along with your contact details. b) Meeting Schedule (If coming to attend or organize a meeting)
5. Invitation Letter: Original Invitation Letter from Botswana host / inviting Company on its letter head stating the purpose of travel and duration of stay and should be duly signed with signatory’s name, designation and Sponsor ID Copy along with the following documents. a) Attested copy of Host National Identity, Work permit, Residence permit, Exemption Certificate,Naturalization Certificate. b) Attested copies of Trade License, Certificate of Incorporation, Share Certificate of Host Please Note: a) The attestation has to be done either by Botswana Immigration or by Botswana Police Department. b) Invitee's ID copy has to be notarized from local notary department in Botswana.
6. Financials a) Personal Bank Statement for last Three months. b) Proof of Funds(International credit card photocopy/endorsement of US$ on the passport)
7. Proof Of Occupation a) Brief Company profile Please note: Labour Exemption Certificate is required if going to Botswana for a month or more
8. Proof of Accommodation : Hotel confirmation
9. Airline Reservation: copy of Ticket Itinerary Please Note : Tickets must be issued for 10-12 days after the submission date.
10. Travel Itinerary : Detailed Travel Itinerary
11. Please Note: a) Personal interview is required. b) Visa fee is non-refundable.
12. Important Note - Applicants are advised to check the below link to know whether Yellow Fever Certificate is required or not. Vaccination requirements and recommendations for International Travelers . Health regulation for passengers leaving India:- There is no health check requirement by Indian Government on passengers leaving India. However, persons leaving for a yellow fever infected area are advised in their own interest to get themselves vaccinated and to be possession of valid yellow fever vaccination certificates before they leave the country.
