Germany Transit Visa Checklist

VISA NOTES & FEES

1. Passport: Original Passport with validity of minimum three months (from the date of return) and minimum two blank pages for visa stamps. a) Copy of the valid visa for the country of destination Please note : a) Passports issued beyond 10 years will not be accepted by the Embassy b) Passports with any “observations” will not be accepted. c) Attach all your old passports (if any) d) Handwritten passports will not be accepted by the consulate.
2. Schengen Visa Application Form : Online Visa Application Form to be filled. Print out of the filled form to be attached with application for submission. The link for the form is - https://videx.diplo.de/videx Please note: Only High Quality printout of the Barcode should be submitted along with the application. Following forms also need to be duly filled, signed and submitted along with the application a) Declaration on genuineness of documents travel health insurance b) Declaration 2 c) NOC Form for a minor who is travelling alone or only with one natural parent (If applicable) Please note : Applicant mobile number should be mentioned in visa form as Embassy / Consulate can contact the applicant at any point of time during visa processing
3. Photo Specification: Two recent passport size photographs with matt or semi matt finish, 60%-80% face coverage, white background and without border (Size: 35mm x 45mm) Please note: Photograph should not be more than 3 months old,scanned/stapled and should not be used in any of the previous visas.(You can use the same photograph which you have used to get Destination Visa)
4. Covering Letter: Covering Letter from applicant on business letter head stating his name, designation, passport number,purpose and duration of the visit.The letter should be duly signed by authorized signatory with company stamp, name & designation of the signatory and addressed to– German Consulate General ,Mumbai. Please Note : Post visa processing, VFS will courier the passport directly to the applicant at an additional cost of Rs 450. Therefore, it is mandate to mention the complete dispatch address on the covering-letter.
5. Financials: a) Personal ITR's for last 03 years. b) Salary slip for last 03 months. c) Personal Bank statement for last 03 months mentioning name and address of applicant. Please Note: Bank Statements should be on A4 size sheet.
6. Ticket: Confirmed onward Air ticket.
7. Travel Insurance : Required travel insurance. Please Note : Insurance has to be done by the Authorized Insurance Companies
8. Please Note: Indian nationals does not require an airport transit visa if holding a) A residence title of a member state of the European Union (Visa or residence permit) or a member state of the European Economic Area ( Liechtenstein) b) A valid residence permit or visa for the Andorra,Monaco,SanMarino,Switzerland, USA, Japan, and Canada c) An Airport Transit Visa is not required for holders of valid visa issued by Bulgaria, Romania, Cyprus, Ireland, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan or the USA irrespective of the travel destination.
