USA Tourist Visa Requirements:

Requirements For: U.S.A, Tourist, Single/Multiple Entry, Short Stay, Standard
Traveler Nationality: Indian

Please read the following document completely. Failure to read the complete information and follow all instructions could result in the denial of your visa request.

1. Proof of Residence: Not required.
2. Cover Letter: A letter by the applicant, addressed to the American Consulate, signed, specifying that your purpose of visit overseas along with the duration.
3. Invitation from USA: A letter from an invitee from USA addressed to the American Consulate, giving details of the applicant’s purpose of visit and dates along with the duration, if any.
4. Photographs: Photographs will be clicked at the OFC center at the time of Biometric.
5. Application Forms: Application form to be filled online. After online validation, confirmation of DS-160 has to be printed and carried at the time of Biometric as well as at the time of Interview.
6. Passport: There are no rigid rules on the passport’s validity. However to avoid immigration problems it is advisable that your passport be undamaged and valid for at least six months from the time of departure from USA, with a minimum of 2 blank visa pages available. Please attach all old passports, if available.
7. Recommendation Letter: Not required.
8. Air Tickets: Confirmed return air ticket, if any.
9. Personal Financial Documents: Bank Statements of the past 6 months, Income Tax papers of the past 3 years, property papers, any fixed deposits, share certificates / Demat account, any investment policies and any other proof of sources of income.
A photocopy of the above documentation.
10. Hotel Confirmation: Hotel confirmation for the duration of stay, if any.
11. Insurance: Not required.
12. Company Documents if self employed: Company profile and brochures.
Memorandum and Articles of Association or Certificate of Incorporation.
Balance sheet or income tax returns for the last 3 years.
A photocopy of the above documentation.
13. Employment Proof if salaried: Copy of the applicant’s appointment letter, salary slips for the last three months, Identity card, Form16 and No Objection Certificate (NOC) for a fresh passport holder.

Software professionals, traveling for the first time, need to provide photocopies of their highest education qualification and professional degree or diploma.
A photocopy of the above documentation.
14. Other Requirements: If traveling with children, bonafide school / college certificates and a ‘No Objection’ letter from the child’s school.
If traveling with an infant, the infant’s birth certificate is required.
Copies of the pension papers for retired people.
If visiting children who are resident permit in USA, birth certificate of the children will be required.
A photocopy of the above documentation.

CONSULAR FEES

Consular fee is determined by the government of the relevant country. This is subject to change without notice.

PROCESSING TIME

A minimum of 3 business days from the time of interview.
